/services
We provided the full streaming infrastructure to capture every camera feed on-site and bring it back to our production hub, where it was expertly mixed with broadcast graphics and instant replays. The final stream was delivered live to the client’s YouTube channel and sent back to the venue for display on the big screen, giving fans both online and on-site an electrifying race-day experience.
/highlights
This marked the first time The Gralloch was broadcast in full, a major milestone for the event. Viewer feedback on YouTube was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the live coverage and expressing how much they valued being able to follow the race in real time. The broadcast brought fans closer to the action than ever before, creating a more immersive and connected race-day experience.
/challenges
Transmitting four camera feeds from a remote, rural location was no small feat. The team conducted a route survey the day before the event, carefully planning how to maximise coverage using the ATV and identifying key points where pre-recorded VTs would be needed due to limited visibility. The crew’s adaptability on the day ensured we could respond quickly to changing conditions and keep the coverage seamless.
/learnings
Future budget permitting, having additional drones in the field could have enhanced coverage, especially in moments when the ATV couldn’t capture the action. A multi-angle approach could also provide greater flexibility and ensure more consistent, dynamic visuals throughout the race.
